I am Dr. Peyman Zabihinoury — a public health scientist, born of Persian and Hispanic roots.
I was raised in two worlds, rich with story and spirit. In one, I was told of ancient medicines, desert winds, and the wisdom of my ancestors. In the other, I studied the hard science of disease prevention, human biology, and the silent battles our bodies fight every day.
And at the center of it all… was her.
My Aunt Nani.

When she passed, I felt something shift inside me. A question rose like smoke in my chest:
